Advice taken, I optimized more of the page. As a test I tried getting the image down as low as you had, in photoshop. I was only able to comfortably get it down to 172.2k, so thank you very much. (So I used your file, hope that's ok) Can I ask what program you used?

This is the desktop version. I need to dig into the responsive side of things. The website is still in progress, but here it is so far.
