Re: Publishing from a Dynamic IP Address

Indeed I have Brian! Are you by any chance with TSOHOST or another host using C-Panel as it is an issue due to tightened security for non-cloud hosted accounts. They tell me they are unable to do anything except offer to whitelist the new IP address whenever it changes. This wasn't a problem when it...

Re: Internet Exception Error 12003

Dear GWHC I too have been having continued problems with TSOHOST since they introduced the security syestem but forgot to tell their customers. Eventually I got a support chap (Martin Todorov) who seemed to know what he was doing and he discovered that my IP address hadn't been 'allowed' by their se...

Re: ***Solved*** Publishing error

I have a working solution; instead of the recommended setting and without changing anything else I discovered that the Encryption Type needs to be set to "FTP with TLS/SSL (Auth TLS - Explicit)" on Port 21. I am certain I tried this yesterday but it would not go through so maybe something has been a...

Re: ***Solved*** Publishing error

Yes, as I said bang up to date 15.2.1 (Nov 24 2019) I had tried the FTP setting you highlighted; it didn't work and gave this log: *** START OF PUBLISH *** Scanning publish folder... Found 42 file(s). SecureFtpLog: Connect_Ftp2: DllDate: SecureFtpVersion: 9.5.0.69 UnlockPrefix: PBLVND.CB1072018 Arch...

Re: ***Solved*** Publishing error

I take your point Pablo but I have managed to speak to customer support at TcoHost and we carried out a lot of tests with WYSIWYG (which is bang up to date), CuteFTP9 and FileZilla 3.46.2; the first two came back with similar error messages but Filezilla got through Ok. It transpires that the host h...

Re: ***Solved*** Publishing error

RevFrank, I have exactly the same issue and on the same date and been going bonkers trying to fix a non-existent fault with Wininit.exe and a Windows 7 update. I wonder which host you are with; I am with tsohost.com? I raised a ticket but, despite a kick today, they have not even replied which is ve...

Re: Overlay menu doesn't show the sub page

Pablo, I have the same issue as Bart. None of my experimental top level menu items have links unless there are no sub-menus and they go to a page when clicked. If I click on those that do have sub-menu items the menu overlay immediately closes but clicking on the 'hamburger' again displays the sub-m...

Re: php mailer using standard email form

Thank you Roger, I have corrected the omission I had made and now have it working perfectly but this was only after I had uploaded the entire web site again. It would be good if Pablo was to include this in a future update as it greatly improves compatibility with Gmail and others whilst retaining t...

Re: php mailer using standard email form

Hello Roger, I am very sorry I have not been back earlier; I did not receive an email notification of a reply so assumed not but today decided to have a look. Alas I find I had not ticked the notification button!! Thank you for all your suggestions of where to check, very thorough but everything loo...

Re: php mailer using standard email form

Okay, have edited the object html, custom form processing and added the following: $mail->clearReplyTos(); $mail->addReplyTo($_POST['email'], $_POST['name']); $mail->FromName = 'my email name'; Roger Dear Roger, I have exactly the same problem and requirement so I was delighted to see your solution...

Re: Meta names tags are doubled

A change to Site Properties and Multi Pages to exclude Master Pages by default would not preclude users from entering meta tags direct into Master Pages so existing web sites, and users who choose that method, would not be affected.

Re: Meta names tags are doubled

By experimentation I have just worked what is happening, by defining meta tags in page properties they are also being added to master pages which I are marked not to be published. The master pages are not published but of course all their content is! I would have thought that by default master pages...

Meta names tags are doubled

I have noticed that meta name tags added as Site Properties for description, keywords and categories are previewed and uploaded doubled (repeated once) on all pages.
Author, robots and generator are fine.
