Re: Using basic template 6

Pablo, I ran into the same problem yesterday, but got distracted by something else. Is this something that will always have to be changed, or will the template eventually have this permanent change made? Otherwise, I will just save the instructions somewhere, so I don't forget in the future. Thanks.

Re: I think I'm getting down to the short strokes ... (Site review)

Totally agree on the falling castles. Smee, the slider is much better now, IMO. The "Ken Burns" type zoom from before just didn't feel quite right, and I'm glad you're liking this better also. It all just seems to fit the page better now. Nice job. Hope the client is happy!

Re: Order of items inside flex container

@longman, thanks for pointing out that "move to top" option. Yes, I would find this useful, and having the ability to always populate the newest item to appear at the top would be a fine little workflow improvement. I'm working on a TV station mockup, and have a page with a flex container, and a bun...

Re: Hyperlink - Can it be breakpoint specific?

Thanks, Pablo. That was going to be my solution, but just thought I would ask first.

Hyperlink - Can it be breakpoint specific?

I have some phone numbers that I want linked (made clickable for dialing the number) in the 320 breakpoint only. Right now, they are showing as hyperlinked in all breakpoints, although nothing obviously happens in the larger breakpoints. In those larger breakpoints, however, the "appearance" is that...

Re: Critique Website

@WB10user I'm sure sorry to hear of the facial paralysis. That is a better picuture, IMO. Yes, keep that one. Or, even a different photo, of you sitting at a desk, reading a manuscript, perhaps a bit of a profile, even, so that you are seen "at work". There are a couple of ways to approach this. Eve...

Re: Critique Website

Not a bad site at all. Just a couple of comments from an initial impression: 1. Do you have a friendlier personal picture? That one sure is stern, and I'd almost be afraid to send in my manuscript, for fear of an angry lecture would be coming in return. Critique is a very personal thing, with lots o...

Re: HOW TO UPGRADE TO WB14 AND STILL HAVE WB12?

@Kevindef, As regards the naming convention, it's pretty simple. I simply use the version in the name somehow: I'm talking about the actual .wbs file for a project (ex of a file name for a client) JodeeFarmsNursery_2017_makeover_v2_WWB_v12.wbs As I make major changes to the site, I might have JodeeF...

Re: HOW TO UPGRADE TO WB14 AND STILL HAVE WB12?

@Kevindef, I already had version 12 (see my earlier comments). So, I merely upgraded to v14. It installed all by itself, into a different folder. Oh...one thing....(on my system, anyway)...be aware that all WWB website file icons (your actual website files) may be displayed as v14. This is where the...

Re: HOW TO UPGRADE TO WB14 AND STILL HAVE WB12?

@Kevindef, glad to help. You won't be disappointed in v14. I have less than a year with WWB now, and Pablo has done a masterful job with this software. I'm only sorry that I didn't discover it a few years ago. Have fun, and enjoy v14.

Re: HOW TO UPGRADE TO WB14 AND STILL HAVE WB12?

@Kevindef, absolutely. I have a couple of sites that I'm going to go ahead and complete in v12. However, I've already started a new site in v14, and am testing new features, of course. The two never meet. I simply have two things: 1. A naming convention for files, so that I know which is v12 and whi...

Re: HOW TO UPGRADE TO WB14 AND STILL HAVE WB12?

@Kevindef, that's exactly how it installed here. I did nothing on my end to make that happen. v14 installed into it's own folder, and put a new icon on my desktop. Load and go!
