Re: Apparent publish problem
Pablo, profound apologies !! The bottom line is that I -----d up. The hosting file manager did not make it obvious enough to me that my counter text file was only owner read/write. I thought that I had copied a working file with working permissions but apparently not. I needed sftp to chmod my count...

Re: Apparent publish problem
Pablo. Sorry I had not realised that the counter was still there. musiclist.txt did not exist but it does now and is writable, however, it made no difference. I have asked the hosting service to activate php/error logging, which will take an hour ? to function. Now awaiting results. No need to respo...

Re: Apparent publish problem
Within the builder for my published site .. I have cloned the repsched page (php) and called the new page repsched-h. In properties I've set its file ext to html. I published both pages seperately. I've not done a full site publish for some time. genpurp.uk/repsched-h.html shows a pinkish page with ...

Re: Apparent publish problem
It looks like there is a mistake in the configuration which causes PHP to fail. Are there any errors in the PHP error log (on the server)? What exactly is on the page? I don't know where to look for the server's php error log. The page has a coloured backround and has a photo image inserted. It loo...

I edited the page properties (.html) and emptied the page, bar for a new image. The page with an html property displayed as it should. When edited back to .php it was blank, ie no image.

Apparent publish problem
I added some new text to a largely textual page that has not previously exhibited any problems. Preview shows the mods but publish seems to have little effect on the subsequently browsed page. Lots of experiments later, with frequent flush of cache, I am no further along diagnosing the problem. It w...

Save Page as Template
Sorry, probably a stupid question. I've read loads about templates but I can't find how to to 'save page as a template'.
How is it done ?

Re: Selective Uploads
I strongly suspected that my version was out of support, that is why I posted my question on the forum rather than support. I certainly did not expect a response from the head man ! Thanks Pablo. I found the option you referred to.

v15.4.5 (32 bit) I have a page with a menu populated with links to local media files. Whilst the page may be modified frequently, the bulk of the media files remain unchanged. When I publish the selected page, all the media files are also re-published , even when ' Publish files of modified objects ...

*** SOLVED *** What I see is NOT what I get !
If I did something, I don't know what it was. I went to edit a page (that was OK when last I looked months ago) by amending a paragraph in a large test box. Within WYSIWYG all appeared as it should but when uploaded, some of the text was out of position and in some cases overlaying other text. I hav...

PHP versions supported
I'm using the PHP/MySQL versions of WYSIWYG page login/admin management with v14.3.2. My hosting service is pressuring me to upgrade my PHP support from 7.0 to 7.3. Will 14.3.2 and/or 15 support 7.3 without scripting changes ?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Multi-platform Sync
For the information of other readers ... I copied the project file to the resource file and opened it from there. As you might expect, the project opened without knowing where to find its resources, it was looking for the eponymously named folder below. I used the the Tools | Asset Manager to Update...

Re: Multi-platform Sync
OK Pablo. Sorry to take up so much of your time. Yes, I'll do that. I had thought that the project file had to reside in the WWB folder above the resource folder. There's always something new to learn!

Re: Multi-platform Sync
If I sync the WWB folder, I would also sync all the other cr-p in there too. I can certainly sync the whole project in one hit if the project .wbs file was in the resource folder, but how does it get there. At the moment, I am doing as you suggest - manually copying the file. I would prefer it to be...

Re: Multi-platform Sync
Pablo: Shall we go back to my original post in this thread? I normally edit using my desktop PC. So that I can easily continue to support a web site whilst away from home with my laptop, (or someone else can if I go under a bus) I've spent some time looking at programs that automatically sync resour...

Re: Multi-platform Sync
Pablo: I have that option set already. The active project file (projectx.wbs) remains in the folder above (WYSIWYG Web Builder) however.

Multi-platform Sync
I wonder if it might be possible to include a WYSIWYG-WB program shutdown option to copy the .wbs project file to its resource sub-folder so that one of the many inter-platform folder sync programs can synchronize all the files needed by a project in one simple job?

Restore Problem
A disk crash yesterday has robbed me of my working environment on my desktop PC, probably running 14.3.1. Using my on-line vault service, I have restored copies of the wbs file (from the backups folder) and resource folder to my laptop. Unfortunately the laptops 14.3.2 reports that the installation ...

Re: Web Stats
Thanks andyp: Interesting! On Desktop, Firefox didn't show the counter. Opera didn't show the footer! Chrome showed the whole thing. IE64 showed the whole thing with the counter in a slightly different position. The neat formatting of the subscribe dialogue was lost in Firefox too. So, considering m...
