Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Note that the way windows are managed (hide/show/float/dock) is not specific to the spatter. This is standard Microsoft functionality. So, I do not have control over the way it work behind the scenes.

You can add/remove menu items in the properties of the menu.

Please note that version 8 is no longer supported.

Would it be safe to remove the above, from 2012 ? Yes, but it will not 'fix' your menu. If you remove a page from the Site manager then you will also update all menus and all pages that refer to this page. Unless you have synchronize the menus with the site manager. Also, you will need to republish...

First note that if you remove a page from the Site manager, it will not be removed from the server.

If the change in your menu do not appear online then please check:
- did you update the menu?
- did you clear your browser cache?
- did you publish the page to the same location with the same name?

Which exact tools are you missing?
Maybe you have accidentally customized the toolbox?
To reset the toolbox, right click for the context menu and select 'reset toolbox'
