Re: WB SEO

Are we talking about On-page seo or off-page seo? Are you needing audit software?

Re: Cookies

What is everyone doing for privacy policies? Does EU law say the user must "opt in" via the cookie policy before viewing the website? Link? Or simply have it available on the contact form / footer etc?

Re: Emailing Designs or USB

In terms of showing a client a "live" website, I think some upload it to a temporary url (a subdomain of your own website) and send them the link to view on their computer. Just be sure to keep the robots off the website so it is not indexed by mistake.

Re: Can someone please check this on an iPad/Safari?

So if I understand you correctly, 960 is your default breakpoint at it's widest - which happens to fit on an ipad horizontal. Ok. In this case.... Concerning breakpoints, I have the following: 1900 dt, 1260 dt, 1024 ipad, 768 ipad, 480 iPhone, 320 iPhone. Could be considered overkill but I am hoping...

Re: Can someone please check this on an iPad/Safari?

Here is a nifty tool you can use - http://quirktools.com/screenfly/. Not an exact science but pretty ok. I'll let you see for yourself what some may be saying. If possible, I'd possible do away with the paralax on mobile devices only but keep on desktop. If the layer you are using is set to image ba...

Pablo is more than just a program developer

Can someone direct me to an alternate solution to say "thank you" properly to Pablo for the great customer service he provided earlier today?

Re: Form Spam

Ok. I got a simple “are you human” QnA to work. Set a field required to 1 – be a number under general, 2 - validate default as a number and equal to the correct answer, 3 – set condition to allow the send button to work only when answer is correct. I think it worked with human entry. I am hoping thi...

Re: Form Spam

Pablo, what is the difference between captcha and recaptcha. I've always used captcha and it seems to be pretty ok at filtering out robot spam.

Re: Form Spam

The normal captcha seems to work on for me - for the sites that have it. Adding it back to the ones that don't to cut down on spam. As an alternative - I wonder if it is possible to add a field that is hidden from the user but is set up to "require" that the field be empty. So if a robot tries to fi...

Re: Directory of Designers / Developers / SEO Specialists / Theme Builders / Extension Builders etc. here

As admins I'll let you guys discuss how you want it run but in considering your questions but not wanting to make it complicated perhaps let the admin control it - ie leave it locked and if someone wants to be added to the list they can send an email to the admin to have their name added - assuming ...

Re: Directory of Designers / Developers / SEO Specialists / Theme Builders / Extension Builders etc. here

BF - Is it an admin that should do this or since I brought it up, should I just do it? I don't mind but I don't have everyone's website address and I don't want to step on toes. Again the idea was to keep it updated on a regular basis as new designers say #metoo. Let me know what you want me to do w...
