Re: php mailer using standard email form

Okay, have edited the object html, custom form processing and added the following: $mail->clearReplyTos(); $mail->addReplyTo($_POST['email'], $_POST['name']); $mail->FromName = 'my email name'; This achieves the desired result. The clear command is necessary otherwise your code generates 2 reply to ...

Re: php mailer using standard email form

After further checking on php mailer queries on Google, this very subject is discussed and the suggestion is to use; $mail->addReplyTo($_POST['email'], $_POST['name']) Comments relating to my earlier message with the gmail / yahoo issue. //**DO NOT** use the submitter's address here as it will be fo...

Re: php mailer using standard email form

Yes, I had that setup previously but changed it as part of fix for gmail / yahoo issues where gmail rejected emails where the originator / user was yahoo address but the email was from my server and that broke their rules. I was forced to correctly identify from address and host added some code on t...

I have the php mailer form working well but would like to update the functionality a bit so that when I receive the email from my server the "reply to" is defined as the email address input by the user in the edit field named "email" Currently the system defaults to the "From" address which is my se...

Re: 8 Youtubes...

Great reference article, Thanks. Also Fancybox, once you get your head around it, does all that and is fully responsive.

Re: 8 Youtubes...

Yes, I adopted that idea quite early on in development so people always know where to kick off the show. It didn't take too long on Google to find someone who liked the idea as well and made all the code available. Since most shows are run by Fancybox and has wide adoption there was plenty of advice...

Re: 8 Youtubes...

Had something similar on my site but multiple slideshows and the odd video on youtube. In the end I changed the page design to an index type page so when they clicked on the play button it loaded a separate pop-up lightbox page with the slideshow or video on it. Cut the loading time way down and loo...

Re: Images displayed in Gallery

Excellent! Sorry about missing that last bit of vital information. I had read a post from Pablo on a different matter that required the same action which triggered my brain to go check if I had covered that. I'll put it down to old age! I followed this path as I have so many slide / video shows on m...

I use Fancybox, mostly v2 or 3 for slideshows. Have no problems with images of differing dimensions or aspect ratio.

but you can still specify which version you want at time of constructing page and saving under Page>Page Properties>Advanced. While rare, some software may require the older versions.

Re: Images displayed in Gallery

If you are using the WB Slideshow or Gallery there is an option under "Advanced" to use the images from a folder on the server. It will then offer you the ability to input the folder name located on your server. To add the images use the "File Publisher" object by adding a new folder, being the name...

Re: Background to cover on anything less than desktop

Depends what path you've gone. I used break points, it just seemed simpler than trying to get my head around some of the new stuff. I use layers as my header / banner and ran into problems there - used media queries to sort that. It's all about coping with portrait verses landscape since the page is...
