Re: amended page won't load in browser - 14.2.2

I opened an existing page in my project, moved a couple of html objects that were outside of the bp back into the bp then hid them so they wouldn't display. Amended a custom html menu then amended the responsive menu for the lower bps, saved and uploaded. Its a .php as it contains the e-mail contact...

Re: amended page won't load in browser - 14.2.2

OK I just went back to a backup using 12.5.2, did the same amendments and uploaded to site. Both now work.

amended page won't load in browser - 14.2.2

I have just amended 2 .php pages on my site they were just html objects moved within break points. Neither page will load when accessed from browser. Chrome just reports http error 500 while Firefox reports: "The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with...

Re: "floating/sticky" layer

I'd be putting more importance on the lower end bps where there is a variety of screen sizes, portrait and landscape. I'd add a 480 and up the 320. I believe someone suggested around the 370 - 380. I, too, went for 320 but in testing found all the portrait orientation screens displayed the 480 some ...

Re: Popular breakpoints

This was discussed recently in another post and some valid points came up in that discussion. One was 320 seems to be redundant these days and would better be 376 to cope with current phone design. I'd take out the 960 and others above 1280 as desktops will look good at this point regardless. As you...

use of jquery

It was my understanding that web builder would automatically add the header code and files for the version of jquery specified in the page properties. I have been creating a page using a stand alone lightbox to play a html5 video but could not get it to work. After much frustration I discovered not ...

Re: open in a lightbox

This may help you - using the standard lightbox option and fancybox as type. https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=73939&p=401036#p401036 Examples given from my test site no longer work as have over-written a good deal of the content since writing this. You should be able to ad...

Re: How Can I Have Lightboxes With NO SLIDESHOW!!!

As an observer and someone that has used all Fancybox versions in my site I am trying to understand what you are trying to achieve. Are you trying to set up the standard gallery type page associated with fancybox and get a pop up lightbox with description when one of the gallery images is clicked on?

Re: Screen size for web design

When I re -designed my web site I opted for 1250 default then 768, 480, 320 breakpoints. As you say, the home desktop is much larger these days and then you have to cater for tablets and mobile. I took a look at some of the surveys on Google to help make up my mind.

Re: Mobile pages

It really depends on your content. Mobile browsers treat content differently to desktop and within the mobile browser world there are differences from one browser to the other. I held back for some time until biting the bullet and converted my site to responsive using breakpoints and combinations of...

Re: re-generate "Image" folder for web site

So no way to auto generate a new image file other than manually remove images based on best guess then check web site to see if any missing?

re-generate "Image" folder for web site

I have recently restructured my site so that all the slideshows have there individual image folders for ease of maintenance, which means I now have hundreds of images in the main image folder I want to dispose of.
What is the easiest way to regenerate the main image folder please?

Re: Possible just to insert a <div> on a page

Interesting, I jumped in as interested in what the moderator answer might be. In my old software we could create an html object and the positioning was governed by where the object was placed on the page then we manually entered the div html and css. Never had to do anything like that since using We...
