My first attempt at using wysiwygwebbilder to create a complete site. Fortunately I had a project with vaguely detailed requirements (as always). It was small enough to attempt but I wanted to add some muscle to it. Just a side note, I was using Serif Web Plus X8, which has now been sunset.

I was going to use the trial period as an evaluation for live site, about 3 days into it I was convinced about the maturity of product and decided to acquire a license. So far I am completely satisfied with the product and the excellent support.

Site Specs:
Template based - template is part of the wysiwyg package
Has 3 break points - they didn't tell me that they were all looking the site on iPhones, I developed it for a desktop until Pablo set me straight
Each break point has css menu navigation
Site has a fav icon - they very happy with that feature
Site has a contact form which will email the contact details out
Contact form has basic validation like email address, name must be greater than 4 characters etc
Contact form has a captcha - This was difficult to attach - I had to delete the original contact form which came with the template and recreate it with the captcha. I am still trying to figure out how to enlarge the captcha input field. It is stuck in one small size, and how to make it case insensitive.
I managed to learn how to keep the headers and footers in sync across breakpoints. Initially, I just kept creating new layers to match the width, which was inefficient.

Also integrated images using lightbox and magnificpopup (click on Embroidery). I need to learn how to pass options to the magnificpopup to keep all image sizes uniform.

Site has been tested Firefox, Chrome and Edge.

Next steps - They would like a file upload section and a website terms of use policy

Looking forward to your feedback.

I'm no expert, but the opening page looks rather plain to me. Nowadays, a background picture seems to be the norm.

I agree, but they wanted a fast loading responsive opening page, and since it is an embroidery studio the ability to show a lot of texture was a key item.

Couple of more challenges, they have customers who want to upload a design file to get a quote, and have the ability to see their digitize file online. They are really not ready to spend the money for a customer portal or customer data base. They have one in Quickbooks for their accounting, it would be complicated to integrate with it.

My thought is to create a folder and keep the files tagged with customer email addresses, use a cookie on the client set to store the name of the file. When the customer revisits use the cookie to show them their file. Not as clean as i would like it to be. If the customer clears the browser cache then the cookies will be lost.

Hi Magic
- picture to have same size, must be in begin same size example 800px X 600px and it be good after that in light box, that must do or in Photoshop or in other picture editor app,
Also you must solbe problem with PageFooter at page because you have empty space under the footer
http://www.finzcraft.com/Embroidery.html and
http://www.finzcraft.com/Patches.html
Check breakpoint 1200 and 768 here footer is under, it is only at that two pages
Other is Ok

Thank you. Yes they are working on the images to make them uniform. I did fix the issue with footers. I converted those from layers to actual Page Footers. They should be fine now.

Thank you again for checking the site out.
