Hello There,

using Card-Experiment WYIWYG Template:

I really would be grateful for any feedback I may receive from anyone here.

Yours truly,

First comment. Why are you using cookies? What are you storing that you need to ask me to accept them? Secondly, if I decline, the cookie box goes away and then comes back again. Why can't I decline the cookie usage and just look at your site?

Alan,

Thank you so much for your feedback.
But I have nothing to do with those cookies.
In fact that is my problem ever since.

It keeps on appearing on so many sites that I have visited.
I really am very sorry about those cookies.

If you know of anyway that I can get rid of them, please just message me.
And I will do as your suggestion.
I myself is really and terribly annoyed by cookies.

Without sounding rude the cookie script didn't add itself and it is not part of WWB. You or someone must have added it!.
I believe that it may and I say may have been add by whoever you host with or by a service you have paid for.
This is because your site url shows "dashnexpages" within it and there is also reference to scripts and css (external) in the html.
I would either contact your host or the service you used to remove it if you don't require it.

Your cookie comes from here (https://dashnexpages.com/)
This is obviously a service/platform you are using for your website.

You did not add it perhaps but they add it for you and somehow it clashes with your page somewhere down the line and refuses to be cancelled.

Hi bkjohns and zinc,

I just emailed my hosting provider as follows:

Hello There Support Team,

I just received complaints from my friends whom I have invited to visit my Personal Website at:
https://mannycena.dashnexpages.net/aboutme/

They are complaining about COOKIES from my Dashnex Site.
They said that even if they have already DECLINED to accept Cookies Message,
still the COOKIES offer to be accepted KEEPS ON COMING BACK.

Why is this so?
Please explain so I could also explain to them.

The reason why it isn't working correctly is probably down to invalid or incorrectly added code. Looking closely at the html there is double doctype, html, head tags, meta tags viewport etc etc. You can clearly see this at the page start. If you have added this please remove or ask your host or the service you used to remove.

Invalid or incorrectly inserted

Code: Select all

<!doctype html>
<html lang="en"><head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1">
<title>About Me</title>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<meta name="description" content="">
<meta name="keywords" content="">
<meta property="og:title" content="About Me">
<meta property="og:url" content="">
<meta property="og:description" content="">
<meta property="og:image" content="">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.dashnexpages.net/assets/2.15.1/public/plugins/cookieconsent.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdn.dashnexpages.net/assets/2.15.1/public/landing-page/css/blank.css">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="https://cdn.dashnexpages.net/assets/2.15.1/images/favicon.png">
</head>

Hello BaconFries,
Thanks for the concern.

Sad to say, my coding knowledge is below average.
And to add salt to injury, my host provider will really not cooperate.

I think the best solution is just to remove my Personal Site
so as not to disturb other people in our WYSIWYG Community.

Or maybe I will just wait for a little while until Mr. Pablo
will visit my site and see by himself the Cookies Issues.
If he tells me to delete my site then I will do it.

There is no reason to remove it, it is doing no harm. The issue is related to the cookie script that has been inserted by your host or by (https://dashnexpages.com/) I would contact either and ask, and if you need to insist that they help. I am not sure Pablo reads or monitors this section but if he reads he will reply.

Hello There:
alan_sh, BaconFries and zinc,

I am happy to inform you that the Dashnex Pages Cookies for my site
have now been DISABLED.

You may refer to the link below for the Disable Screen Shot at this Dropbox link:

Thank you very much for pointing out that issue to me which I was not really aware of.

Hi Vance, just had a quick peek at your site, Im no expert (unlike Bacon fries, and the others, top men all) but scrolling up and down all the time is a bit much. have you tried making the menu bar into a sticky layer?????
