Non-Friendly internal links

Post by tommy888 » Sun Sep 02, 2018 2:08 pm

HI Pabblo,
One more thing - I've just noticed that link from pictures are

<a href="./zaklad-kamieniarski.html" title="Mast-Kam Zakład Kamieniarski"><img src="images/zaklad-home.jpg" id="indexImage1" alt="Kamieniarstwo Mast-Kam Siedlce" style="<style>#wb_indexImage1{overflow:hidden;}</style>"></a>

id treated as unfriendly link and read as
http://mast-kam.pl/./zaklad-kamieniarski.html by SEO optimer

How's that?

With <a href="../page1.html" - it goes to a parent forlder
With <a href="/page1.html" - it goes to the same folder
with <a href="content/page1.html" - it goes to a subfolder

Seo optimer reads the link as non user-friendly friendly and displays http://mast-kam.pl/./zaklad-kamieniarski.html. All in all, it links to another page in the project.
The link should be http://mast-kam.pl/zaklad-kamieniarski.html

I never have heard about issues with this before. I am afraid that changing it may affect hundreds of websites that now work correctly.
Note that you should not believe everything SEO optimizers tell you.

I don't believe. But it was extremely strange for me and wanted to confirm.
Why does this seo optimizer see the link as follows:
http://domain\.\pageurl (it should be a link to another page within the same domain - http://domain/pageurl)
without \.\ in between the address

I guess there must be something wrong with them.
And Pablo only last question.
I can see an internal link published by WB as follows: <a href="./page.html" title="......"</a>
Does a ./ before internal link say that the page linked is within the same folder (www) on a server?
