CssMenu Submenu behind LayoutGrid

Post by jhiggs76 » Wed Aug 16, 2017 10:11 am

Hello.

I cannot seem to get the CssMenu Submenu to appear in front of the LayoutGrid which immediately follows it. I think it is to do with the Z-Index, but whatever I try, it will not appear. Example shown here:

Any Ideas?

Cheers

If you use layout grid then the objects inside the grid, so so there is no z-index. Objects are positioned in the order you placed them on the page.
Note that normally a menu is part of a page header/footer, not inside a layout grid. A header/footer can be forced to the force ground (stack level).

Hi Pablo.

I should have made that clearer sorry, the CssMenu is in the Page Header, below the Page Header is a layout grid. The SubMenu of the CssMenu in the Page Header is hidden behind the Layout Grid. In the picture example I simply dragged the Page header and Features from the Blocks Toolbox as a demonstration, and added in a subMenu. The red arrow points to show where you can see a bit of the submenu, but it is behind the layout grid.

I have the page header stack level as "In Front of Content".

Thanks

Maybe overflow of the header is set to hidden?

Tip: Please always include a link to the page so I can see what you have done.

Hi Pablo

I have set overflow to auto in the page header but as you will see it simply adds a scroll bar to the end of the page header and tries to put the menu and submenu to show only in the page header. I am expecting to see the submenu drop down over the rest of the content in the layout grid.

As requested, here is a link to show you what is happening.
