JS external file Management V.12

Post by informer » Sat Jan 13, 2018 6:40 pm

Hi,

I want to generate the JS code in a external file. So I set up option as below:

But in the HTML Page, we see:

Code: Select all

<script src="js/wb.carousel.min.js"></script>
<script>
   $(document).ready(function()
   {....
An explanation?
Thanks by advance

<script src="js/wb.carousel.min.js"></script>
It already is a external file! The setting you mention applies to code raw javascript or jQuery added to the source page itself.

These settings apply to publishing, not to the HTML Preview dialog because in that case no files will be generated...

So does it mean that after publishing my code, there is an JS external file and this JS code is only displayed in preview mode If I misunderstood, please coule you tell me what I have to change for generating JS code in an external file.

Thanks for your help.

Your settings are correct, but they only apply to the published page. Not to the HTML dialog.
