New computer

Post by alex4orly » Sun Aug 19, 2018 1:56 am

I am sure this has been asked before, but despite searching for a long time, I can't find an answer...
My current Windows 8.1 PC has gone beyond its due-by date (5.5 years old) and is playing up a lot, so I am getting a new machine.
I will of course have to install all my apps again, including WWB - but, is there a way to to "Transfer" accross, all my extensions that I collected over this time?

What if I copy the Extensions folder from my profile : Documents->WYSIWYG Web Builder->system->extensions
to the same folder on the new machine, is that OK, or do I need to do something else?

Cheers

I suggest to copy the entire folder: Documents->WYSIWYG Web Builder

This is very helpful, I assume the following:

1) I will first do a clean install of WWB on the new PC, this will create the initial folder structure
2) Only after that, I will copy the whole folder ontop of that initial, is that the correct order?
3)Regarding WWB storing images etc... If I just check that checkbox - is that enough, or do I need to publish the project in order for thei to take effect?

Thanks again

1. Correct
2. Correct
3. You will need to save the project.

I followed the steps, I see all the wbs files backups numbered 1-4
But, I see no images / pictures saved anywhere - are they included in the wbs files? I doubt that

Thanks

Sorry, but in that folder : My Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder\ProjectName

I DO NOT have any project folder for any of my folders.

All of my projects are in C:\Project1, C:Project2 etc.... In each of those folders there is a subfolder with the same name as the wbs file and the pictures are inside there...

Is that a wrong setup?
