Affix responsive menu

Post by janez72 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 2:19 am

I'd like to have a responsive menu in affix mode (sticky, always visible on top).
I can be easily done, but:

I'd like the menu to be responsive with full width. So, I need to put it inside layout grid.
I'd also like to limit the width of grid to 1280 (like the whole site is).
Sure, once you roll down, the menu falls out of grid and, so no go with this opton.

Another one would be to put it inside a top-sticky layer.
But layer cannot be limited to 1.280.

On top of that, would like to set the menu at 400 px from top.
So, once you roll down, the screen "picks up" the menu and keeps it on top from there.
I've seen this option at many sites online.

What would be the best solution? Any suggestions?

"Affix' uses the position:fixed, this conflicts with floating mode (static) of layout grid.
An HTML element cannot be floating and fixed at the same time.
