[Text formatting] How Do I Stop This ?

Post by barryrodgers » Thu Feb 08, 2018 1:51 pm

Hi

I have a page that serves as a template. Users will replace tags with their own text.

My issue is that objects below the text do not "move down" to accommodate text above them if the text above exceeds one line.

I thought the answer would be to put the text into tables but that hasn't worked.

Here is a video showing the issue:

Thanks in advance :)

If the layout was designed using absolute positions then all objects have a fixed position.
The position of other objects not be affected by the size of another object.

If you use Layout Grids (flexible layout) then the rest of the layout will adjust itself.

Note that videos are usually not very helpful. I need the project file so I can see what you have done.
