web page background

Post by angd » Fri Feb 09, 2018 4:16 am

I want to add a background to a page but I only want the background to appear on the sides to fill in white space. For example if i make the width 1280 and the viewer has a much larger screen there is a lot of white space left and right. I do NOT want the background to appear inside the dimensions of the actual web page. that is the area inside the 1280 width does not have the background image appearing in it. Also I need the background not to be visible if the screen size is smaller as in the backgrtound needs to be responsive.

If any one knows how to do it I would be greatful. Thanks in advance

In HTML the background will always cover the entire page.
If you want the content to have a different background then you can use a shape, layer or layout grid with a different background color.

Hi Angd,

Here is an example of what I think you want : http://www.innershineforgirls.com.au/
And another one here : http://www.cyndarinvestments.com.au/
And another one : http://www.sakurasushimornington.com.au/

It is designed on a Master frame with Layout grids and works well on all screen sizes

Good luck
