Site Search question

Post by WebsiteYETcom » Wed Feb 14, 2018 12:59 pm

I have a web page consisting only of a slide menu.
Menu is the alphabet ... A B C ... Z
Then URL's are listed under each Letter.

I can't get the ... Site Search .. to find the search word, which is in the URL which is in the menu.

Wish to search for .... Ink and have it find the URL which is in the menu under the letter I

Wish to search for .... Gloves and have it find the URL which is in the menu under the letter G.

The search only returns the root domain, and doesn't find any text what that word in it.

Any advice appreciated....

John

By default, the search index will only be generated from text objects only, it does not look for text inside navigation objects.
You can change this behavior in Tools->Search Index

Hi Pablo,
I have tried everyway.

www.From.Us.Com

Menu contains links to forth level domain name URL's and I was hoping that the search would / could return
with the key searched word, with showing the URL.

Example... search Ink
would like the search to return .... Ink.From.Us.com
Gloves ..... Gloves.From.Us.com
etc.

Maybe search can not search this type of menu.

Site search will include the text of the menu, but not external links. The site search not designed to include external links.
