Parallax issue on Chrome v 67.0.3396.79>

Post by Sergio Morais » Mon Jun 11, 2018 2:44 pm

Hi,

I just noticed that parallax layers no longer work on Chrome more specifically v 67.0.3396.79.
As one scrolls down the image disappears. Beta version 68.0.3440.17 has the same problem...
Working well on FF and Edge though.

Anything we can do on our side?

My demo still works:

Maybe something else is wrong?
Did you try removing the extensions?

Hi,

Yes, your demo works well, which is puzzling...

I am not sure what you meant by "Removing extensions " but I did create a sample project from scratch containing only the layer. The results were the same...

Code: Select all

I am not sure what you meant by "Removing extensions
Your page contains (third party) extensions which may affect the behavior of the page.

Where did you publish the sample project?

Are you using the latest update?
Can you share your project so I can see what your exact settings are?

I am busy with updating to WWB 14 at this very moment.
I have no problem in sharing the wbs project. How would I attach it or make it available?

- upload the (demo) project file to your website or another public server
- share the link

Sergio,

The parallax problems is not software related but browser related and effects the latest updated version of Google Chrome

According to other forums, the problem lies with the "fixed" attribute and the work around found would need a small code addition to control any element using this attribute

transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
-webkit-transform: translate3d(0,0,0);

This has been reported to the developers and we are all hoping that a fix will be forth coming shortly and directly within the browser itself but in the meantime, the above code should get it working again.

Thanks Psycho

How would I attribute the code you provided to the object in WWB?

Thanks for sharing the project.
The difference with my project is that I have used floating layers.
That still seems to work.
