Post by rasure » Wed Oct 03, 2018 9:46 pm

Maybe you have specified an invalid email address?

Thanks for the reply. No not at all, its the same email address I`ve always used (just double checked to be sure). All I did was install the update and re publish my site?

Did you publish all files? Including SMTP.php and PHPMailer.php?

What does the generated PHP code of the form look like?

Yep all published as expected. I`ve Solved it now. In advanced form processor properties I "unchecked" use PHPMailer instead of standard PHP mail and now it`s working as it should. Like I said I didn't make any changes, just installed and republished site. Thank you.

I doubt that using PHP Mailer affects the border the form. This has nothing to do with styling.
Did you publish all files?
What is the URL of the page?
What are your exact settings?
Does your web host support PHP5.6 or newer?

Thanks for your reply.

The panel menu border styling was set to `no style` instead of `solid`. Wasn't like this before update.

Can't set it to PHP Mailer since update though only standard. My web host supports up to PHP 7.1

Re published all files.....now working as it should as long as I use the standard option.

Thanks again.

I work on a couple of servers that are running older versions of php (not 5.6 or newer) can I just swap out the 14.2 update class.phpmailer.php, class.smtp.php and phpmailerautoload.php for the older versions after the site is published online?

Unfortunately, the files are not compatible.
The syntax is slightly different.

received error HTTP ERROR 500 when submitting from the form.

The following is the respond from my hosting provider. Anyone can advise what should I do? http://www.goec.com.au/goec2/camprego2019.php

The way your camprego2019.php page was scripted, if we simply add the following lines, the server generates an error 500.
$mail->IsSMTP();
$mail->Host = 'mail.goec.com.au';
$mail->Port = 465;
$mail->SMTPAuth = true;
$mail->Username = 'office@goec.com.au';
$mail->Password = '*******';
Please have your developer check and have him incorporate the SMTP authentication to your camprego2019.php page.

You can configure SMTP authentication in the properties of the form.

I did the configuration but the provider replied as follow. Is there something i need to configure in the WB?

"Which software did you use to create the camprego2019.php form? For some reason, the camprego2019.php script generated by that software does not seem to work on our server. I even tried to make it run on our other servers but get the same error."

Maybe you have made a mistake in your settings?
received error HTTP ERROR 500 when submitting from the form.
The server (PHP) log should give you a clue why it does not work.
