Float, don’t scroll.

Post by thegreen48 » Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:45 am

New WYSIWYG user here.

So it’s good, I’m able to do everything I’ve wanted so far, but now…
How do I get a piece of text to stay in one place on the page and not scroll with the rest of the display? Something like, as the page is scrolled to have a text item, say a go back to the top link, always fixed at the bottom right of the screen.

There must be a simple answer to this, but I’ve searched through all the WYSIWYG options, animations, events, then the help and now the forum posts but can’t find what I’m looking for. I must be searching with the wrong terms or something.

What’s the answer?

Did you try a sticky or docking layer?

Or else use a fixed footer.

Wy not use the free jQuery Go Up extension from Pablo. If you just want a go up arrow in a corner this is a good and easy option:

Thanks, that Sticky Layer is just what I want, works fine.

And thanks for the quick reply too.
