Clarity on fonts

Post by RiaanN » Sun Oct 28, 2018 7:14 am

I want to make sure I understand the @font-face option correctly. Let me create a make believe scenario.

I am building a website that is making use of 3 fonts that is not in general use by the web surfing world, and therefore the fonts are considered to be NOT web safe.

I now go to Options and Fonts
I set the options to manually specify @font-face fonts
I add the 3 fonts in the TTF, WOFF and WOFF2
When I publish my site, the 3 fonts get included in the file list
Everyone will be able to see the website the way I want him or her to see it, because it will “push” the 3 fonts to any client that does not have it.

1. Is my understanding correct?
2. When testing on a client that I know does not have the 3 fonts locally installed, it does not display correctly. What am I doing wrong?
3. Only 2 of the 3 fonts are displaying correctly, what can be the problem

1. Correct
2. Maybe you have configured the wrong family name?
The name you enter it the settings should match the name in the font selection list.

Thank you Pablo

It was the family name on my side that was incorrect.
