Select below/above

Post by Mikro » Tue Nov 13, 2018 10:52 am

Could someone please point me to where I can find some details on:-

- Improved: Select below/above now include objects with 0 pixel offset (instead of 1).

that was mentioned in the 14.2.2 release notes?

Basically what is it and in what context is it used.

Thank you. :D

If you have several objects on a page then right-click an object > Select > All Below (e.g.) will select all objects below.
Very useful.
Sorry if that's not what you meant.

That is exactly what I meant but I must be using it incorrectly!

I have placed a text object on page, and then placed a simple rectangle shape over it (transparent).
I had assumed if I clicked on the shape, then chose Select All Below, that the text object would be selected, but when I do that, nothing is selected!?

Is it more for layers than objects?

Thanks again!

No, not about layers.
It’s above and below flat on the workspace not objects on top of each other, if you see what I mean.

Aha! My mistake completely, I thought it was talking about above and below in the z-layer, not the 2D screen plane!

Is there such a thing for the z-layer btw?

Thanks all!

I'm sorry, there is no 'below z-index' option.
