14.3 64bit layout problem

Post by ingasos »

I've installed the 14.3 version of both the 32bit version and the 64bit version onto my PC and then (not at the same time) opened the same .wbs file in both versions. You will see from the images that the 64bit version changes the layout and is not relay usage

This is how it should look using the 32bit version

This is how it looks in the 64bit version - The layout / width is also different on the screen

Any thought on what the problem might be?

The font size looks different so this is most likely related to the DPI.
Please check the compatible settings (Windows properties)
And also make sure the 'High DPI aware' option (Tools->options->User Interface) is the same for both versions.

thanks for the quick reply. I now remember reading the same sort of font problem for someone else. I'll check my setting and get back to you.

It's working fine on the main PC, but I have not managed to locate the problem on my MS Surface pro. I'm sure (as you say) it's related to dpi / screen resolution so I'll keep on looking to address the problem.

Keep up the good work on your WYSIWYG software.

It's safe to say this is now closed as there is no problem with the 64bit version of the software.

I still cant find out what causing the layout problem when I use my MS Surface Pro using the WYSIWYG (either v14 or the new v15) software .

Before I pull my hair out or throw the surface pro away has anyone else had this problem and how did they sort it??
