MP4 video doed not start playing

Post by hotcore »

Hi,

I set "Autoplay" on and "Controls hidden" for a video.

A black screen appears. When I rightclick, I can enable the controls and then I see the video hasn't started to play even when I set Autoplay on.

I have a small example of this.

Can I send the project file to somewhere??

TIA,
/Arie

To be able to help it is always best to provide a working url this is so we can view for ourselves. With this said this usually indicates the the file name is invalid. Please ensure the name is valid and retry.
See the following:

It is also known that Chrome blocks auto start of videos/audio so requires the user to click play to view but first please check the file name.

Hi,

well, I had a hyphen in the name of the video and changed that to an underscore (which should be ok as Pablo stated somewhere). However, this does not solve it.

Your remark that Chrome blocks autoplay is the culprit indeed. So, for Chrome use I would need controls to be visible (since right clicking is not allowed in my case).

With Firefox it works okay indeed :)

Since I have no website to upload my project to to share it, is there an e-mail address for that purpose?

Many thx!

You can also upload a copy of your project to one of the many public file sharing sites such as Mediafire. Then provide the url they provide by posting it here.

OK. Didn't know about that.
Later I realized I can upload to Google Drive or similar and share a link :-)

I am very pleased with this friendly and to the point forum, meaning that the people on the forum as well as the developer are friendly and knowledgeable :D
