Big question on user generated content site

Post by joseph9 »

Hi everyone, first of all love WYSIWYG. I have a big question and need some general directions on what I need to learn, or do, to make my idea happen. I've been thinking of making a user generated content site for users to sell their music on. The user would need to create a user profile page, then be able to upload their music, and in-turn sell their music (with some type of shopping cart), whereby I would take a portion of their asking price. I know this is not an easy question, I just need to know generally what is involved, so I can start learning the process. Thank you. Please forgive my ignorance.

You can create the layout with WWB, but the 'logic' must be implemented with scripting.
So, you will need some knowledge of PHP or another server sided programming language.
Note that even for an advanced developer, creating a web application like this may take months of work.
