No copying page

Post by Fabian »

Hi
As I've started to give examples of the articles I have for sale I'd like to know if there is a way to prevent the average person from right-clicking a page and copying the contents.

I'm sure there are technical guy's out there that could perform this 'Click & copy' but I'm just trying to stop the average person from doing it.

Any help here, I would be grateful.

Thanks.
Fabian

In 'Ready-to-use-JavaScript' there is a "disable right click' script.
Note however, that there is no way to disable copying text. If the browser can display the text then you can also copy it.

with more options: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=62548
(but as admin has said, will always be different ways to grab the content...)

Since I posted this several people have said similar things and told me not to bother as people who come to the site will be discouraged from returning in the future if you stop them downloading a couple of example articles out of thousands that are on the site.

Best to grit your teeth and bear it.

Sorry to have wasted your time guys.

Thanks a lot.
