Form response email labelled as SPAM

Post by donjohnson24 »

Having sorted out where Form parameters are stored for a Layout Grid being used as a Form, I now have a possible further problem in that a response email was detected and labelled as SPAM. The properties of the message from page http://www.angelauren.co.uk/contact.php contained the following:

X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "blazar.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk",
has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original
message has been attached to this so you can view it or label
similar future email. If you have any questions, see
root\@localhost for details.

I am using the built in PHP Form processor script and the email address box is named 'email'

I read a previous topic that included a reference to this problem, and it seemed as though a solution was to use Textboxes instead of Editboxes for inputting Name and email, but the facility to set the 'Type' to email is not present in a Textbox.

The SPAM email came to me as I had my address set up for testing, but the site owner might ignore such 'good' mails.

I do not think there is anything you can do to prevent this otherwise spammers could do this too...

Would it help if you used Recaptcha? Or did you already? Maybe that gives the message a flag to pass? Not sure but you could find out...
