iFrame displays different on website vs local testing

Post by Markoc »

Hi Paulo,

I'm working on a new website: www.whiteoconnellphoto.com/markoconnellfineart/

I have an HTML block with an inline frame from the art dealer so that I can access their services. When I view the page locally it all looks fine. When I upload to the server I do not get the entire interface but everything is in a frame with scroll bar and parts of the page is missing. I guess I am trying to get the iframe to be full width but not able to.
Is there a way that I can get the same look as when I test locally?

I've included 2 screen shots.

Thanks for the help.
Mark

First note that there is no difference between the HTML generated for local preview and published page. In both cases the exact same files will be generated.

When I visit the website I do see the full width iframe.
Maybe you browser is caching an older version of the page?

Paulo, thanks for the super quick reply!

I would think that they would be the same. I just tried it on a different computer and on an ipad with the same results. I get a window about 1200 pixels wide with a scroll bar on the right. So I have two scroll bars, one where the iframe is and the other for the rest of the page. The testing page goes the entire width of my monitor and has boxes on the left for Search Filters, Collections, Tags. These do not show up on the server version. The photos give a better example of that. Tried it on Chrome and Internet explorer

I've cleared my cache a number of times but since it displays the same on another computer and an ipad I'm stumped.

Thanks,
Mark

I might have found a workaround using a different link from the supplier. Will email again if it doesn't work out.
Thanks,
Mark

On my computers (tested in 5 different browsers), it looks like in your second screenshot. Of course there two scrollbars because the height of the inline frame is fixed.

Thanks for your testing.

As usual you are right! Although I cleared my cache locally, I neglected to clear the cache on the Cloudflare server. Once I did that the pages displayed correctly.

Thanks for your help and sorry to take you away from your vacation time.
