Search tool questions

Post by piotrh »

Hello,
I have some questions about Search tool.
1. Searching seems to not include Heading object. Am I missing something?
2. On one page I have the same word reapeated couple of times. Search result displays only first one. Can I have a full list where this word was used?
3. Can i stylize how search result is being displayed? I would like to apply different font size and color to a different parts of search results so it would fit to my design?

1. This depends on your settings in Tools -> Site Search Settings.
2. No, this is not possible.
3. You can change the style of the results in the settings of the site search object.

Yes, but it is very limited, I can pick only one font type and size for all text elements. Can I somehow customize it more?

You can change the background color, text color, title color, URL color, font size, font-family, padding, terms color, terms highlight and terms weight.

Ok, I was not being precise. Of course I noticed I can change those.
But what if I want for example different font size and family for title and different ont size and family terms style?

In that case you will have to add custom code.

Ok, I think I can do a little "custom code".
I have to manually change values in file named
sitesearch1-results.html
after publishing site, correct?
