Import and Favicons

Post by 44MLB »

When I have used the “Import Page from Another Project” option it has also taken the favicons with the page and this has changed the favicons for the whole website. Would it be possible to not take the favicons with the page, as this is rarely the preferred option?

The import option makes an exact clone of the page, you cannot exclude specific properties.
But it will not overwrite the properties of other pages.

It changes to images in the image folder and therefore effect all pages.

Then choose a different name or change the property after importing.

I think it does it as soon as you import the page.

If the icon has the same name then of course it will be overwritten.

I thought it was best for all of them to be named favicon-xx etc for them to work properly in the browsers.

For the software there is no way to know if this is a different file, so it will use the latest added version of the file.

OK thanks. I'll take that into account in future before importing a page from another project.
