Did you publish all files? The search index is only published when you publish all files.
What is the URL of the page?

Although you may have inserted a search input there is no search script installed! Please ensure that you have installed the search object and uploaded all files.

The search index is not on the server.
http://www.cookingtranquility.com/searchindex.js

Please make sure that you publish/upload all files.

The only files I see are

wb.sitesearch.min.js
jquery-1.12.4.min.js

Even if I create a new site and add a search button I do not see searchindex.js
Please advise

Are you sure you have uploaded all files?
Are there any errors in the publish log?
Does it work it locally when you do a full preview?

The reason why the search does not work is because the search index file is not on the server.
So ,you will need to make sure the files gets uploaded.
There are no known issues with search so I am sure that it can also work for you.

Please read the following before sending
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=82134
support@pablosoftwaresolutions.com

I am sure that it isn't working because you have not added the search object to the page as when viewing the source code it does not show also the following is not on the server as you will see by clicking...
http://www.cookingtranquility.com/searchindex.js
Also please read the following again...

Thanks for sending the file.
I cannot find anything wrong. All settings are correct and the search index (searchindex.js) is published when I publish the entire website.

Are there any errors in your publish log?

You should also have the file yourself.
If you do a local preview (or publish) then the file will be in the preview/publish folder.

Anyway, here is the file:

Site Search can only search text in HTML, you cannot search in PDF content.

Hi Pablo
I have a different problem
I also add the Folder in the site tree and add inside it like. Insert External File. add pdf
also where the button at -page to open that pdf file, that page is protected.
The problem is that these pdf files are visible in search, although I gave the options on the right-click pdf file
- Don't sync this page to Navigation Object
- Do not include this page in the Site Map

How to solve this, or have some other idea how to do, maybe
Thank You

PDFs should not be added via the Site Manager. 'External file' is only meant to include web pages.
If you want add a PDF to your project then use the 'File Publisher' object instead.
