Cannot Open WYSIWYG

Post by kerryln »

For some reason WYSIWYG will not open. I have tried both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. I'm using WIn 10 X64.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Maybe your firewall or virusscanner is blocking the software?
Did it previously work, If yes, then what exactly did you change?

The software is installed on a new system - Dell computer i7, 16gb ram, 64bit running Windows 10 Pro. I've installed version 14.4 and it runs perfectly. When I try upgrading, the software installs ok but the new version will not open.

Are there any error messages?
Did you check if your firewall or antivirus is not blocking the software?

As you can see on this forum, it works for all other users. So, something on your system must be preventing it from running.

I've checked firewall & antivirus settings and cannot see any issues. As I said, the previous version works fine. I have version 15 on my laptop and it's fine.

Did you check the Windows error logs?
Did you check the firewall/virus scanner logs?

Note that for you firewall/virus scanner version 15 is a different product, so even if WB14 works, it may still block WB15 if it's not correctly configured.
If I do not know what the error message is, then it will be difficult to give you any meaningful advise.

I do not get an error message. The software just fails to open.

I meant, did you look in the Windows error logs?
