Odd Mobile view with v15.0.4

Post by Starb7 »

Hi Pablo and all

Not sure what's going on, bug or something daft I have done.

Just created a simple site (really simple) at http://browsermail.co.uk/ and it looks fine on normal Desktop browsers but I just can't get it to work on mobile (android/chrome) - even the position of the text is wrong!

Its just a couple of text blocks with an Breakpoint of 480 set (using the new feature) to 'Activate breakpoints when browser window is smaller than the device width' which I presume is how it used to work? Also, what do you mean by 'smaller than the device width', ie if on Android/Chrome you can't make the browser smaller than the device. Looking at the built-in help, it looks like the word 'device' should be changed to 'defined' and that would make sense :)

Cheers

I do not see anything wrong.

device width = view port width = browser width

Are you viewing on a real mobile phone or an emulator (not found one that really works yet) - this is what I see:

browsermail.co.uk/screen-mirror-grab.jpg

As you can see, all garbled up, even the text boxes are in the wrong places.

I have deleted the project from the host and re-uploaded, same effect.

Do you want a copy of the project?

Cheers

EDIT: Just recreated (roughly) in v14 and uploaded to http://www.browsermail.co.uk/index2.html and that works fine :)

I have tried on the desktop and iPhone.
Based on your screenshot it looks like the browser is not loading the style sheet.

I do not need your project because there are no issue in the code.

The main difference between the two projects is that the 'Activate breakpoints when browser window is smaller than the device witdh' is inverted.
Different settings will give different results!.
