Differnt results with different browsers

Post by Trevor Johnson »

Hi All.
I'm using v15.1 with layout grids throughout the site.
On a 15.6" laptop I can't size the viewport down to below an estimated 500 px whereas in Edge it goes right down to an estimated 280px.
I have some pages with a GO BACK and HOME buttons. On some pages they stack properly in low width in Chrome and Edge, in some only in Edge. They are in shapes for a border and I've tried publishing as CSS3. I've tried creating Break Points.
On an actual mobile phone the pages in general do present properly but on some pages the two buttons mentioned don't stack or they overlap.
I feel that I've missed a setting on some pages that make the different browsers respond in this way. Other than that I don't understand the random seeming differences.
The button problem is the most important. The browsers mentioned are up to date and browsing history cleared, also tried in incognito, all attempts yield the same results.
Take a look at these pages in Chrome, Edge and on mobile please.

Where exactly do I need to look to see the problem?

This is related to the browsers and has nothing to do with WWB.

I suppose I am asking why the code produced should yield different results in different browsers. I often see in WWB how some things don't work ion this browser or that browser, so I don't accept that it has nothing to do with WWB.
If you look at the 3 urls given in the 2 browsers, you should see the differences in the GO BACK and HOME buttons.

I am not ware of any major issues otherwise i would have addressed them in the latest update.
But of course there always will be differences in different browsers.
Also, note that I was referring to the resize behavior of browsers. Which is browser related behavior.

For me, the buttons look exactly the same is all browsers.
Can you please be more specifies about what you see?

O.k. thanks Pablo.
Whilst I was working through a good example to ask you to try, I had the idea to copy the same layout grid from another page and just change the text. Hey presto it worked. I have no idea what I had done, but obviously something wrong and the problem was that the page in question didn't stack those two buttons at smaller view ports, it overlapped them.
So I don't know why or how but the problem is solved.
Thank you for trying to help.
