Image path?

What image path should I write if the folder structure is as below.

There is a folder "A" which has inside it another folder "B" and inside folder "B" is a css file that has the path to an image "1.jpg' which is out side folder "B"
what path should be used for the image inside the css file?

OK the path that works is: .././1.jpg


If I want to convert it with folder names instead of . and / what it should be?
