Adobe has killed Muse... an opportunity for WYSIWYG

Post by fredphoesh »

Hi,
I have just updated my v10 WYSIWYG because I have been using Adobe Muse for a couple of years, and today they announced they are killing the product, no more new versions, when Windows and OSX stop supporting Muse, it will be completely dead...

So there are loads of angry and upset Muse users wondering where to go. I have already suggested WYSIWYG on the forum, but thought you guys should know. Perhaps you could offer the same upgrade discount to Muse owners who have been hit by this shocking news.

I have suggested WYSIWYG on about 5 different threads in this forum:
https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse
(so next year, v13 for free? LOL)

Cheers,
Mark.

Hi fredphoesh,

Thanks for suggesting WWB to the Adobe Muse forum!

The price is currently discounted for all new users ($49.95 instead of $59.95)

Also, all users that purchase the current version now will get a free upgrade to the next version, when it will be release later this year.

This is very similar to when Sitegrinder disappearing due to the parent company Medialab going bust. I suggested WB 9.xx at the time. Some took me up on the advice.

You have probably heard that Serif is dropping WebPlus (along with several other of it's products). I was using it for a couple of years but decided it was time for a change.

So I went to their forum and added my recommendation for WWB as a replacement.

Pleasure Pablo.
So I just upgraded to v12... will I get v13 later this year for free too?
Thanks,
Mark.

Great, thanks, and thanks for the tips on the animation in the general thread. I had a quick look, will look again later... seems odd to create a style to animate position and transparency, but I will give it a go.

Cheers,
Mark.

This is just and example, you can also directly trigger CSS animations.
See the templates.
