Google images

Nomatter how I try or what I do I cannot get my images to display in Google images. I have tried many and various possibilities over several years, but all have failed. Irritatingly, a trade customer (who has an very low listing in google)and amazon both show images of my trugs and have a high priority, yet only one of about forty of my images appear in the google image search for Trugs. I believe I must be missing one element or code in my website. Should I create an imagemap.xml - would that help?
