Web site development collaboration

Post by GOF635 »

We, a private company, want to use WYSIWYG to redevelop our web site. This involves several people located in different locations. We plan to do this using Microsoft One Drive. The idea is/was to collaborate on design and development of pages and sharing creation of the pages in the web site. To date, we have purchased multiple copies of WB14.
It appears that individual pages in the web site cannot be separated from the whole by uploading/downloading them to the MS One Drive service by individuals as needed, in fact, we have the impression that multiple persons cannot collaborate on a site development unless they are in the same room at the same time where only one person controls the keyboard.
Has anyone had experience in this method of development?

The software was not designed to work with multiple users on the same project file. Because there is only one file that contains all content.
However, you can create different pages in separate projects.
Later you can merge them or maintain them separately.

Thanks for that info. I understand the multiple project idea, each project with a single page (we only have 20 Pages). What I do not understand is how we would merge them all into one project at the end of the development process. I have been through the user manual and checked the FAQ's but theree is nothing about merging projects. Would you enlighten me please.

You can either use the 'import page from another project' option.
Or use copy/paste between projects.
