Pablo,

Ive noticed in my sitemap builder (3rd party) that it is listing first level URLs with a /./ after the .com address. like this...

https://www.website.com/./example.htm

Why is it doing that. It only seems to do it to the pages listed directly under the index.htm level.

It appears that way in both .xml and .html sitemaps

Thanks

As it is a 'Third Party Tool' have you asked them why?

No, because it has never done this before, so what has changed is the software I am using to create the site. So it seemed it may have been simpler to ask if Pablo (or you) may have already known why.

Pablo,
Thanks, It also creates the url without the /./ , so both appear in the sitemaps.

I figured since it was in the url it might be a WWB issue on publication.

Here's one example from the sitemap. https://www.pacificcoastboulevard.com/./s40.htm . Ultimately it resolves to the correct URL.

Anyway, let me know if you want to investigate it further. I'll get any info to you that you need. Maybe someone else may run across it also.

Thanks

When I run your site thru a 3rd party sitemap generator I use, I only get 10 entries and none of them look like that. Is it possible the sitemap generator you are using is not very good?

Crispy,

That's a brand new site with very few URL's so far. But I get 143 (including images) Here's what Ive been using for 10 years +

https://www.auditmypc.com/xml-sitemap.asp

Thanks

EDIT, BTW it runs on Java so if you try to open it in Edge, Select the More Actions option located at the top right of the browser and click on More Tool > Open with Internet Explorer.

I've tried the link you sent me but I am not able to get it running.

When I ran your site thru the generator, I was only looking for pages (not images). All the pages came up looking correct.
