A great source for astonishing Galleries/Slideshows

Post by tommy888 » Wed Sep 17, 2014 7:09 am

Hi Guys,
When surfing the Internet I've come across a website offering various galleries (open source code to be developed/used) that can be transformed into amazing extensions with differ transitions/options. I'm not an experienced coder and I thought someone could use it in their project. I hope the category of a post is suitable as all the extensions are here.

One may have known already this website :) But what these Guys make is truly impressive.

Wow...that is an impressive slider.

Would love to build an extension for that but no time. Maybe Pablo can do some magic and bundle it with 10?

Help chat for website. This is in the Open Source world but I can't implement it for some reason and the documentation is poor. I think this is just a matter of adapting and implementing an existing Open Source script. Creates a live chat support system for websites. The Scripts exist in Softaculous. There are a lot of great scripts there that could be adapted to WWB with a great benefit to users. Crafty Syntax offers an online live help system.

HTML & Java / PHP based Web Quizes/Polls section in WB10

Post by tommy888 » Tue Sep 23, 2014 10:13 am

It would be extremely useful to have a quiz/pooll section added to the WB10 where a member could create an interactive quiz for their websites. As mobile devices (most of them) no loger support flash, java and html quizes are now most approprite for a website to have a wide spectrum of viewers. There are some free java & HTML quizes script available (True or False, Multiple Choice, Multiple select, Multiple Match, Essay, Fill in the word/phrase). I believe it would be a great asset in the latest WB10. Similarly polls, questionnaires could be made. It will encourage more students/teachers to buy such a complete supurb Web Creation Tool as WB :)

Hi,

Would it be possible to do an extension for a responsive menu, similar to the types included in Arti****, that starts off as horizontal and then breaks into a responsive vertical (preferable with ability to add sub menus, break points, different stylings, borders and as many other parameters as possible).

here is a sample:
http://responsive-nav.com/demo-respondjs/#
http://responsivemobilemenu.com/demo/

I have been looking at 3rd party software but they seem tricky to implement such as they cannot be seen in the wysiwyg design stage, I am talking here of such products as cof*****, css3menu etc.

Yes it is possible. But there are restrictions to what can and cannot be used...to be able to use any script as a extension it must be free to use, it requires in some cases that the original author grants the use and if so it may require a link back to them or that any copyright within the script remains intact or any watermark it may also have cannot be removed.

We can also not use Commercial (Paid scripts such as Code Canyon) scripts that require a licence to use, we also cannot just scrape code from other sites page or use code generated by Commercial programs (CSS3Menu, Blumentals etc) that generate menus due to iicence and copyrights.

You can of course use external menu generating programs youself and bring into rthe program by using the HTML Object and the File Publisher object but again these are for your use only....
