collapsible FAQ in a col of a Layout grid

Post by Aris » Thu Jan 05, 2017 11:16 am

Hi.

I would like to put collapsible FAQ inside a col of a Layout Grid, in order to be responsive.

Can you suggest to me some solution?

Thank you.

The FAQ extension was not designed to be used in a Layout grid, so this functionality is not supported.
You will need custom script for this.

Maybe this external script could help.

This was the choice I made!

Thank you.

But --probably because of my ignorance-- I put all the body code of the accordion FAQ inside an <HTML>.
The result is that the accordion seems not having place near the previous and the next Layout Grid which
I have in my page.

Is there some "container" in order to accept the accordion code?

You can use the HTML object to insert external code.

Hi.

I think I found a solution to this problem. I do not know if it is computationally correct, but it works well on my site: I used the HTML object in order to paste the questions. But I chose the type "Do not use <div>". So I can see all the questions in a collapsible manner.

Please, see my web page: http://www.proofreader.gr/questions.php. Ερωτήσεις = Questions

Additionally, I had to paste between Head tags the following:

Code: Select all

<link href = "http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/themes/ui-lightness/jquery-ui.min.css"
          rel = "stylesheet">
       <Src script = "https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"> </ script>
       <Src script = "https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.js"> </ script>
What is my question:

How can I change these LINKS (

Code: Select all

<link href = "http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/themes/ui-lightness/jquery-ui.min.css"
          rel = "stylesheet">
       <Src script = "https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"> </ script>
       <Src script = "https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.4/jquery-ui.js"> </ script>
),

in order to change the theme "lightness" (hover, background, colors etc.) to a custom theme?

Please note that I am not a deep understanding of these techniques.

Thank you.

I think it is easier to use the built-in themes then you do not have to include this code. For example, by adding a hidden jQuery Button.

Note that I cannot give assistance on third party code, because for me that may also take several hour to figure out how it works.

hi Aris,

it you want I can create a jor_FAQManipulation version that works in a WB grid
you would have to test it for yourself tho, don't have the time for that at the moment - (think it will work just fine)
just let me know:)

or maybe take a look at jor_gridRip
I wrote that specifically for WB grids accordion style behavior with powerful additional options
see a full advanced template demo - here

Please, can you give me some instructions how to use build in themes in order to avoid to include this code in the HEAD TAGS?

Thank you.

Drag & drop one of the jQuery UI widgets to the page, this will automatically include the page theme.

Sorry, but I do not understand: What is a
hidden jQuery Button
?

I think that this gives a solution to my problem.

You will find the jQuery Button in the toolbox.
