Lightbox Issue

Post by barryrodgers » Wed Feb 07, 2018 4:41 pm

Hi

I made a page with a page opening in a lightbox when a CSS3 button was clicked and it worked fine.

I then did the exact same set up in a different page and the lightbox will not display (in preview or when uploaded)

Here is a video showing the issue https://cl.ly/1O2v3a2S2k3c

Thanks
Barry

Please include the URL of the page or a link to your project file so I can see what you have done.

I uploaded the site here: http://brryr.im/newtest/
The lightbox page is http://brryr.im/newtest/page1.html

How can I send the project file information in a PM?

The following files are missing on the server:
fancybox/jquery.easing-1.3.pack.js
fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css
fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.pack.js
fancybox/jquery.mousewheel-3.0.4.pack.js

Please make sure you have uploaded/published all files.

To share your project:
- remove all non-relevant content from the project
- upload the project to your website or another public server
- share the link

Thanks.

I did upload all files created when I saved as HTML. Those folders/files were not created.

When you save the page as HTML only the HTML file will be saved.
You will need to publish the page to generate all files.

Thanks.

In the last project (which also had a page with a CSS3 button opening another page in a lightbox) I just saved as html and those files were created within a folder named "fancybox".

I did try using the publishing function just now and it produces the same results ( see this video https://cl.ly/3F0G3u15081m )

Maybe you have accidentally removed the lightbox source folder from your computer?
Normally the 'lightbox' folder is a sub folder of the program files.

Thanks for sharing your project. That makes helping you a lot easier (and faster).

You have enable 'do not publish asset' for the object.
So that means that all files belonging to that object will not be published!

No, Pablo...Thank you for the quick and excellent support.

All sorted. No idea why that was checked or - even worse - why I didn't spot it.

Thanks again!

One more question on the lightbox....

Is it possible to edit the dimensions of the lightbox?

Thanks

Forgive me if I am wrong on this but when you select to open something in a lightbox you can click on the "Settings" button. That opens a dialog box where you can, among other things, change the dimensions of the lightbox by entering something like this:

Code: Select all

width: 650,
height: 500
There are also some other things you can alter, see the lightbox API: http://fancybox.net/api

thanks.
