Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
I tried to install some login-tools and a database on my homepage.
My webhost-Provider support FTP and PHP.
My homepage is already published and works properly.
But,
If I take a login-tool and try to create a database, the system answer by step 3 :
„Es wurden keine FTP-Publizierungsprofile gefunden. Bitte erstellen Sie zuerst ein FTP-Profil. „
(There is no FTP-Profile. Please create first a FTP-Profile.)
If I go to the button „Publish“ there is a full functional FTP-Profile!
Nevertheless I created a „New Profile“ but unfortunately I receive the same Error-Information, if I try to create a database.

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
Did you create a standard FTP profile? SFTP is currently not supported.
Note that you can easily create the database manually. See also the help and tutorial.

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
There is no difference on my WWB-App.
If I create a Publish Profile, I go to the button "Publish" and then to "New".
There is no question to SFTP or FTP.

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
Sorry, as previously mentioned the SFTP is not supported because this is an extension. The login tools do not have access to this extension.
The login tools database wizard only works with standard FTP.

Sorry.
How can you see that I work with SFTP?
Can I modify this?

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
You have selected Secure FTP (FTP with TLS/SSL) in the publish settings (based on your screenshots).
You can select standard FTP in the 'Type' option.

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
Hello,
I just find out that my Provider (domainunion) offer the possibility to create a database for user-administration via “Plesk web host edition”.
There is an application called “phpMyAdmin” on Host:localhost:3306 (MySQL).
Can this be the way to work with the login-tools on my WWB-Homepage? And if so, which modification is necessary on the page?
Notice: I am only a beginner, not a specialist.
Does exist a WWB-forum with German speakers?

Re: Login-Tools – No FTP Publish Profile
You can also configure the login tools to use MySQL. See the section 'User Database' in the help.
But again, you do not need a FTP profile to create a text based database. See the tutorial.
I'm sorry, there is no German support on this forum.
