Menu bar setting does not accepte orientation left

Post by DreamCars-Rental »

I'm using a Menu bar which I need to put in the vertical layout for some BP because it is almost as large as the windows size. Therefore I've tried various setting so that the submenus would come out under the main menu and not on the right side of it.
But even with 'orientation' set to 'Bottom left' the submenu still stick out on the right side, therefore going out of the viewport.

What am I missing here ?

Thanks for your help.

The menu bar of this page for instance, when you watch the page in a 400px wide view, the menu is in vertical mode and therefor I need to have the submenus to display below the main menu and not on the right.

I'm sorry, the menubar (which is a third party script) does not support this.
Maybe you can use one of the other menus as alternative?

Yes sure, thanks for the link.

OMG there is so much choice :o

Do you know which one would provide the most similar functions to my actual menu and especially being able to be synchronized with the menu bar on the other pages ?

Thanks

Maybe "Themable Menu"?

Thanks for the tip. Finally I've used the 'CSS Menu' which did the job quite easily.

I've just noticed a little bug with the Menu Bar (not the CSS Menu then). When you rename the 'object' (the Menu Bar) with a name starting with a number this make the whole menu not working.

I have three different menus in the various BP and wanted to name each of them with something like:
DefaultBP_Master_Page_French_MenuBar
640BP_Master_Page_French_MenuBar
360BP_Master_Page_French_MenuBar

The Menu Bar starting with the name 640xxxxx cannot work.

You can ask why I didn't write: Master_Page_French_MenuBar_640BP ? Well that's what I first did but then I realised that when you want to choose the 'Sync with' in the menu configuration the field is too short and you can't see the end of the name for each menus to choose from. So I had to put the 640 or 360 at the beginning of the name.

So that could be two little improvements. Menu Bar name able to begin with a number / 'Sync with' field of the menu a bit larger.

Thanks !

Objects and including pages should not start with a number see the following:

This is not a bug. The ID should not start with a number, this is not allowed in HTML.
