Also, did you try to upload your website with FileZilla? Does that work?
Are you sure you have used the same settings (secure ftp)?
Hi Pablo
I can't see the files on my local PC with FileZilla, all I can see are image files, an earlier screen shot shows this, see post timed 2:49. So no, I haven't been able to do as suggested.

The files do not exists on your local computer, you will need to publish the website first.

- publish the website to a local folder
- upload the files with FileZilla.

but first make sure you fix the invalid files names.

Can we be a bit methodical here?

1. Open the web site in WWB and save it to a local folder. Are all the files there OK? Use File Explorer to check
2. If they are, use Filezilla to open that folder. Can you still see all the files?
3. Assuming that is OK, use Filezilla to copy ALL the files (let it overwrite existing ones) to the correct place on your server. Does the web site look OK?
4. Assuming that works, put the same logon credentials into the WWB FTP upload area and try and publish ALL files. Did you get any errors in the log file?

If 1. doesn't work, then we have an issue with WWB.
If 2. doesn't work, then there's something wrong with Filezilla.
If 3. doesn't work, then you have server issues somewhere.
If 4 doesn't work, then there's something wrong with the logon credentials or the upload protocol.

Hi again
I have resolved the failure of FileZilla to show files. It had to be enabled to show all file types, which was originally checked not to show them! So have been able to upload the HTTP file directly to the web site and it shows, See https://www.favershammrc.org.uk/Blog_20 ... #September
So now the question is... Why isn't the files being uploaded from the normal means?

Are you using the exact same settings in WWB?
Did you upload the files to the correct folder?

A further update...
Following the successful FTP upload via FileZilla and the site showing the correct September Blog entries. I went back to the normal way of uploading and added a test Text Box to the page with the words... "Testing 123 321" in it. Saved the file and then uploaded the page.
The alteration hasn't appeared and the upload has reverted back to the page which was sent some days ago. So it seems the new / alter text etc are not being saved by the software.
I'm beginning to loose the will now! I cant upload every new or altered page via FTP and FileZilla! All this has come about since I upgraded the software. Something went wrong during that upgrade. Sorry Pablo but it did! Can I go back to a former issue without loosing anything?

I still doubt that this has anything to do with the update otherwise many other users would have the same problem. Nothing has changed in the software related to FTP.
Also, if you search the forum for similar issues then publish issues have always been related to either the server or the configuration. The conclusion is always: it was a server issue.
In most cases, when something suddenly stops working, it is because something was changed on the server side (even if the web host says they didn't).
A common example is that web host switch from standard FTP to Secure FTP.

This error in the log indicates a server related issue. This is a message generated by the server!
replyLineQP: 550 Requested action not taken. File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no = access).
Did you ask your web host what it means?

Are you sure the settings in FileZilla are the same as in WWB?
In the FileZilla screenshot it looks like you are connecting using TLS. while in WWB it looks like you are using standard FTP?

If you need further help then I need to know all your exact settings. So, I can reproduce the error on my computer and help find a solution for you.

To be able to help you, I need:
- the project file (wbs)
- FTP configuration
- most recent log

Thanks for sending the information.

Your FTP configuration is not correct.
The remote folder in the configuration should be
/customers/c/9/d/favershammrc.org.uk/httpd.www

Because that is the root of your website.

Well Im blowed!!! Will set my copy to that and see what happens.
The instructions from One.com when the site was set up was to leave the Remote folder as Blank hence just the / in that field. Its worked like that for over five years then suddenly failed this week.

Will let you know how it goes :D Thank you unreservedly. :D

Edit @ 16:45... Changed the Remote Folder to the full title and it works and to prove all was correct I added a new Layout Grid to the Blog 2022 page and called it October and placed in the top qick access box the October details and saved and uploaded and Bingo the new layout grid and its link show.

Hello Pablo I Cant see if my last reply posted.

What was the reason for the changes on files names? since I got Builder 18 im not able to re publish my files with out changing file names, this was never a problem in the last 5 years i have used WYSIWYG builders. I can not go back and change the filenames of over 5 thousand files published just to stay on time of changes for the webbuiulder.

What do you mean by this exactly? I don't think WB keeps you from re-publishing anything. It may warn you about the file names but it will still publish them as-is. WB18 checks for errors on the page and helps to alert you of them. Whether you decide to correct them or not is up to you.

The point about filenames shouldn't contain spaces, special characters, etc. is not new to WB18. This has always been the case.

You can disable the warning in Tools -> Options-> Publish -> Check for invalid filenames.

Note that this option is not new for version 18.
