Project view ≠ Preview/Publish views

Post by tmhaudio »

Hello All!
As a longtime "90 Second" user I downloaded the new V16 and trying to migrate my V12 project files on my old PC to my new PC w/V16.
I was finally able to migrate the files albeit without images and established 'trees" - both I can easily fix.

My problem: the project view looks 100% perfect but "Preview and Publish" views screw-up. See attached screen shot links of my "TEST2" webpage:

Project: https://i.postimg.cc/bYMhqcGN/TEST2-Project.png (only the top of page from my laptop)
Preview: https://i.postimg.cc/RF9dzFmJ/TEST2.png
Publish: https://i.postimg.cc/wjkxq48f/TEST2-pub-ished-100.png

I have searched & read threads on this topic but any "solutions" have not worked for me.

Any help & direction will be appreciated as I'm relunctant to publish my entire website until I can get my "TEST2" to format correctly.

Thanks in advance to all replies!
Jim

I think this is related to the DPI configuration.

Thank you, Pablo.

After checking "Enable High DPI support", the Preview is 100% OK but the re-Published site is still having format errors.

New PREVIEW TEST2: https://i.postimg.cc/v8gH41q5/TEST2-Preview2.png

New Published TEST2: https://i.postimg.cc/Gpmbd9T8/TEST2-Pub ... yellow.png

Note the new published webpage has a layer added (as noted by yellow brackets) and green outline/border is missing.

We're getting close!
Thanks Pablo for your help - much appreciated!!!

There is no difference between the HTML for preview and the published page.
In both cases the exact same files will be generated.

Maybe you did not publish all files?
Or maybe you will need to clear your browser cache?

UPDATE:
I edited the page to keep info to a bare minimum and hopefully it helps to identify the culprit.

The PREVIEW version is 100% perfect

The PUBLISHED version has added a strangely shaped layer with gradient background. The heading border was changed but that can easily be corrected.

As with all previous publishing, "PUBLISH ALL FILES" was chosen.
Additionally, on my old PC with v12, the page published 100% correct. I'll spend some time comparing settings on old PC and new PC.

Thanks for any suggestions & feedback.

To be honest displaying a image or images doesn't help provide a answer. It is always best to include a link / url to the page / site in question this is so it can be viewed and then hopefully a solution provided. Alternatively you can also provide a copy of the project before doing so please read the following urls.
Please provide a demo project

How do I share my project to get help?

Base on your screenshots it looks like there is a conflict with image names.
To be able to help you, I need a copy of the projetc file so I can see all your settings.

Pablo - how do I get the project file to you?

Here is the active webpage: http://www.tmhaudio.com/TEST2.html#

As noted before, I removed all but the basic info so the oddly shaped "layer" that was inserted by the software can be easily seen.

In addition, my project has a narrow green border where the text & content would be placed - this was eliminated in the publishing.

Although the top "heading/border" was also changed a bit, I think I can fix that without much problem.

Thanks so much for your help, Pablo!

The page looks correct for me.
Maybe there is an issue with your browse cache?

Pablo,
I cleared the image browser cache and re-published...IT WORKS!!! :-)

The strange layer image is gone and the green border has returned...just like on the preview.

Also, the header/border is back to normal 100% OK.

To further test, I inserted two text boxes each with a border - one with a transparent background and the other with a gradient background.

Re-published "all files"

The text now appears but both borders and the gradient background is not visible.

PREVIEW: https://i.postimg.cc/htHV7MVd/TEST2-PREVIEW4.png
PUBLISH: https://i.postimg.cc/ryBdjzKB/TEST2-PUBLISH4.png

Pablo, is there another "cache" that requires to be cleared to get the borders and backgrounds to publish?

Thanks again for your help - so darn close now! :-)

--- UPDATE ---

Huzzah...everything is working 100% OK now.

Not sure why the delay after publishing in showing the border box and its' gradient background.

But all's well that ends well.

A big THANK YOU to Pablo for his assistance and patience - sincerely appreciated.

Now I just need to add all the images on my website as they did not migrate over from my v12 files to v16.

Again, thank you Pablo!
