text manipulations

Post by jpd »

Hello

Is it possible to flip text in WB16? Or would I need to create an image and import that?

Best regards

What do you mean by 'flip text'?
Do you mean animation?

For static text you can use the 'Text Art' object.

No animation, just flip vertically or horizontally.

Also, other manipulations like stretching.

'Text art' object works for stretching, that's great to know but I can't see an option for flipping the text. By flipping, I mean for the text to be reversed like in a mirror.

You can also flip the text via the 'Rotate' menu.

Can you please update your forum profile with a valid order number?

I'm not sure what you mean, I'm using the trial version of WB16 to see whether I want to update, my original order was for WB8. Is that no longer a valid order in terms of being on the forum?

Is there a reason you had to post this request online rather than send me a private email?

Account with a invalid order number will automatically be removed, that is why I asked you to update your profile.

That's not what I asked, my question was why you couldn't contact me privately through the email address I supplied when I registered (valid order number or not)?

Nowhere was I told, that access granted to the forum through my original purchase had an expiry date. Your site allowed me to register this morning with the original purchase order, so why have you taken it upon yourself to call me out online, as though I've acted improperly?

No offense jpd, but I don't see where Pablo 'called you out online'. He simply asked you to 'update your forum profile with a valid order number'. Sorry if you were offended by this request.

Thanks for your imput Crispy68, maybe I took it the wrong way, I'm not trying to blow it up but if we stop saying 'update your profile' and start saying 'pay for the new version' it might be a little clearer why it seemed like I've been called out for doing something I shouldn't be doing, that's essentially what's being said. It's like standing in a shop and the sales guy comes up and says, 'if you're not going to buy that can you please leave'. If you're going to offer a trial version it wouldn't hurt to answer a few questions. I like the software, I already bought it once so it would have been more courteous to just send me a DM.

I answered your question within the shortest possible time, so I really had the best intention to help you.
It was not my intention to ''called you out'. I was just asking you to update your order number.
