Can't open project file - extension can't be loaded

Post by paddlefoot »

Using WB ver 16.3.2 I try to open a project but get dialog calling for missing extension, after trying to open from a folder itself, I get the following dialogs but can't open it. I don't have a page called "breakfast" on the site and the PDF extension is installed.

The project file is at this link:https://www.thebestfloridanotary.com/te ... se-JUN-v2/.

thanks in advance

Looks like the PDFObject extension is missing

Do you have a layer/layout grid with an ID named 'breakfast'? I would assume the extension is located in this layer.

Thanks Crispy, but that extension is installed. I can't answer your question about layout grids, or anything else about the project, because I can't get past the dialogs in my opening post; the project won't open. I did find the extensions folder in the WB system folder but this particular one is not there or anywhere else on my PC according to the search tool "Everything".

It looks like you (previously) gave the extension a strange name, so that is why it cannot be loaded now.

You will need to go the extensions folder and rename pdfobject.wbx to pdfobject-9v2c4hdh.wbx

Thank you Pablo. I renamed the file as suggested (pdfobject-9v2c4hdh.wbx) but the same error dialog appears and the project won't open.

Did you also try this?
pdfobject.wbx~9v2c4hdh.wbx

Thanks again but that didn't work. However, I opened a week-old back up and found the missing extension! I copied that into the project's extension folder, deleted the problematic one and now it works. Another good reason to make multiple backups. Mark this as solved.
