The problem I'm having is that I want to make sure that my site is being indexed by google, and I read that you can include a mata tag that says index. There is the option to add user-defined or categories but I don't know what categories there are etc!

In Page Properties-->SEO-->Search Engine Optimization-->Robots you have the choice to select index, follow or index, nofollow or no index, follow and noindex, nofollow. The selection is entirely up to you, selecting the following index, follow tells Google to index and follow the page the others are self-explanatory be by definition. You can read more about this at the following:
https://moz.com/learn/seo/robots-meta-directives

You can also add / insert others of your choice using Page Properties--> Meta Tags under User Defined as example
<meta name="robots" content="noimageindex, nofollow, nosnippet"> a explanation of these can be read under
Indexation-controlling parameters: at the url above.

This is from the help:
Canonical URL
If you have different pages with similar content (for example, a page with both a mobile and a desktop version), Google sees these as duplicate versions of the same page. Google will choose one URL as the canonical version and crawl that, and all other URLs will be considered duplicate URLs and crawled less often.

Friend Pablo,
I've already noticed that the WWB automatically uses the Meta Tag <title> </title> to define the header of my pages. However, some search engines look for the Meta Tag <h1> </h1> and don't find it on my pages. Please where can I add <h1> </h1> using the WWB?

You can find <h1> in the style manager or you can use the dedicated Heading object to choose one.

I've already used <h1> in the style manager, but the <h1> </h1> tag doesn't appear in my page's html. In this case, search engines (Bing etc.) report the lack of this mark on my pages. What to do?

If you used in the style manager then the code for it should be there in your html. Are you sure you applied the <h1> style correctly to the text? Do you have a link to your page?

If the <h1> tag is not in the HTML then you are not using it correctly.
If you need assistance with this then please share a demo project so I can see what you have done.
